On behalf of the Global Alliance for Vitamin A, I am pleased to attach the final versions in both English and French of the consensus statement adopted at the GAVA conference in Dakar from March 23rd to 25th 2009.
I apologize for the delay but we felt it appropriate, and in the collaborative spirit of the meeting itself, to consult with a range of colleagues to ensure the document was appropriately worded. While this inevitably took time, as everyone is busy these days, I think it was worth it to ensure a good quality document.
We hope the document meets with your approval and will not only serve as an aide memoire but also as an advocacy tool to share with key policy makers and other stakeholders in your respective countries/regions.
